What is a Cooperative Preschool?
Cooperative preschools are organized by families with similar philosophies who hire a trained teacher to provide their children with a quality preschool experience. The preschool is administered and maintained by the parents. The parents assist the professional teacher in the classroom on a rotating basis and participate in the educational program of all the children. However, we also now offer a non-assist option to accommodate families with circumstances that dont allow them to be in the classroom. Each family shares in the business operation of the school, thus making it truly a cooperative venture. Parents, preschool children and their teachers all go to school together and learn together.

Welcome to Little Indian Preschool website. Little Indian Preschool was established in 1973 by Tecumseh parents who wanted parental involvement to be integral to their child's preschool experience.

Get It, Got It, Go Assessment Program
Little Indian Preschool is excited to now be a Pilot site for the Get It, Got It, Go assessment program. This is a 3 year program that focuses on a child's pre-literacy development.

Open registration for the 2011-2012 school year begins February 22 for all classes. Registration will be ongoing until all spots are full.
